The exhibition in Makhinjauri, held in 2023 among the ruins on the coast of the Black Sea in Georgia, embodies the concept of site-specific art. This one-day event was organized by curators Maria Kutuzova and Alisa Kusti, along with the Particles team.
Initially, the project titled "Being Here: Particles" was realized in Tbilisi in collaboration with Georgian artists. However, the curators decided to reimagine the exhibition in a new format, adapted to the specific location, which led to the creation of "Makhinjauri Laboratory."
This project became much more than a mere repetition of the original exhibition. It transformed into something new, more natural and purified. The surrounding nature and the atmosphere of the ruins added a unique charm to the exposition, infusing each work with life.
